Popularized in part by the infamous "Snoopy" of the "Peanuts" gang, the Beagle
has been extremely popular among dog lovers as a loyal, trusted and cherished
family companion for many, many years. Originally developed in England, this
small, popular trail hound was originally used to hunt rabbits and hares.
Just like Snoopy, Beagles love to sniff, snack and snooze! They also like to
travel, and adapt well to new experiences and surroundings. Beagles do well in
most households, and are especially good with children, with whom they love to
play (and clean up after when bits of food fall to the floor from high-chairs!)
Beagles also make great watch dogs, with a keen sense of hearing and smell
and a great "howl" to scare off intruders.
Beagles come in two sizes; 13 inches and under, and over 13 inches (but not
over 15 inches) The short, harsh coat comes in a variety of shades, and is quite
easy to care for, with frequent rubdowns with a rough towel or hound mitt.
Beagles ears require some care to prevent infection - inspection, cleaning and
dusting with antiseptic powder on a regular basis is recommended.
These loyal, trustworthy, affectionate and very companiable family dogs enjoy
exercise, and should be walked daily to keep them happy and healthy. A
well-fenced yard and walks on a leash are important, because the Beagles
tendency to follow his nose can lead him off into the wild blue yonder!

Whether you call them Pocket Beagles,
Teacup Beagles, Tea Cup Beagles,
Toy Beagles, Miniature Beagles, or
Mini Beagles, buying the smallest Beagle puppy you
can find is a sure recipe for a teacup full of heartache!
Responsible breeders occasionally will have a puppy that is smaller
than it's littermates (it's what we once referred to as the "runt"
of the litter). Any breeder that selectively breeds to create a
smaller and smaller puppy is not a breeder with whom you want to do
business. The reason for this is that smaller puppies usually have a
number of health problems. They can suffer from Hypoglycemia
(dangerously low blood sugar), knee and hip problems, brain defects,
kidney problems, heart problems and more. What's more, these itty
bitty dogs are as delicate as flowers, and can easily be injured or
killed by being accidentally stepped on or kicked, or from something
as seemingly innocent as a fall off of the sofa or bed. Don't buy
into this unfortunate trend! Dogs are pets - not fashion accessories
or toys. Be sure to buy your Beagle puppy only from a responsible,
reputable Beagle breeder. Avoid any breeder who advertises Pocket,
Teacup, Miniature, Toy or Mini Beagle puppies.

Details: 4 New pups were born on July 6th. 2 males and 2 females. I presently have 1 male and 2 females available. All 3 pups available are Lemon drop (rare color. All pups will be ready to leave anytime after August 31st 2009.
All of my pups have a 1 year hereditary health guarantee. The puppy is microchip for identification and will be registered at the C.K.C in a name of your choosing. Also included is a Eukanuba puppy starter kit (including a small bag of food for 2 days) and some documentation on puppies and training. They will be de-wormed and will have had their first vaccine. The vet certificate will verify their good health. Also included is a collar and a puppy conforter to help the pup transition to it’s new home.
