Glen of Imaal Terrier

About the Glen of Imaal Terrier

This courageous little Irishman hails from County Wicklow on the Emerald Isle, where it is renowned for it's courage and tenacity. The breed was originally developed to hunt badgers and foxes. Quiet as terriers go, the Glen of Imaal makes a great family companion that is loyal, affectionate, intelligent and great with kids! The breed is also an excellent working terrier. Standing approximated 14 inches, this terrier is sturdily built and heavily boned. A male can weigh up to 35 pounds. Glen of Imaal Terriers have a harsh coat that can be blue, brindle or wheaten in color.
